Never tell yourself that you cannot achieve something. Train your brain to ask how... not if.

What does it mean to conquer?

I started to compete in obstacle courses in 2017. My favorite things about obstacle course races (OCRs) are that they are so unique, difficult, and team building. Obstacles are created to use multiple muscle groups and skill sets at once as few other exercises do. Each race company creates its own unique obstacles to try and stump its competitors. Each course gives me new confidence in what my body can do. I constantly surprising myself with my own capabilities and this leads me to wonder "what else can I do that I didn't know?". These races also have an incredibly diverse and dedicated community. Though I often race on my own, I am never by myself as I joke, groan, and encourage the other competitors on each course. In the end, I've always made a new friend.

Obstacle Courses rewired my brain to say 'I can do it'.

Races:

  1. Spartan**

  2. Conquer The Gauntlet**

  3. Savage

  4. Tough Mudder

  5. Terrain Race

  6. BoneFrog

  7. Gladiator Dash**

(** - multiple races)
